2020/2023

The making of this series began in 2020. Luuk built the sculptures pictured in the photographs using materials from construction containers on the street. While building the temporary sculptures, he asks himself; When is something a useful material to build with? When is something waste? Often the objects he made were only there for a short time, collapsed by the wind, a human hand or both; the material returned to where he found it. 

More recently, Luuk returned the works to the place where they were once built in the form of billboards, mounted on wood similarly sourced from the surrounding environment.
