I am a visual artist based in Rotterdam, working across photography, installation and video. My work begins with observation—often of small, overlooked interventions in the built environment: temporary repairs, construction remnants, or traces of use. The observations I collect through photography form a growing archive of references and entry points for a broader investigation into the relationships between material, machine and human action.

I am driven by the desire to understand how things are made, used and transformed, and where our material environment comes from. It is often the ambiguities within urban and rural landscapes that draw my attention. Situations where function is unclear, where materials seem out of place, or where human intention and unintended outcomes overlap.

In recent years, my work has moved toward video and installation, where I work with found and self-recorded footage. Through processes of selection, sequencing and montage, I approach editing as a form of construction. Building with images rather than physical materials. This shift has deepened my interest in experience-based knowledge: the intuitive decisions and gestures that shape how materials are handled and environments are built.

My work has been presented internationally, including at the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA) in Montréal, and at institutions and project spaces such as the Perth Centre of Photography; SIGN Projectspace; Jan van Eyck Academy; Kunsthaus NRW; Greylight Projects; and BRUTUS and Art Rotterdam. I have participated in residencies including ZK/U (Centre for Art and Urbanistics) in Berlin and RUCKA in Cēsis. My work is held in public and private collections, including the Dutch Ministries of Infrastructure and of Social Affairs and Employment.
